Our Story

Mindful Kids Miami (MKM) is a tax-exempt, 501 (c)(3) EIN#: 36-4721457, non-profit that was established in 2011. MKM is dedicated to bringing the benefits of mindfulness to children by providing mindfulness training to the adults that surround the child; early learning professionals, educators, healthcare providers, social workers, and caregivers.

Our strategic approach is to build a culture of mindfulness within institutions, so that mindful attitudes and practices are integrated into environments that impact children daily and the benefits are sustainable over time.

This two-pronged strategy utilizes our signature programs to, first, empower participants with their own mindfulness practice and then train them in age-appropriate skills and activities to share with children and youth they encounter.

Our Mission

We seek to bring the benefits of mindfulness to children from pre-K through the 12th grade in Miami-Dade County and throughout Florida. Mindful Kids Miami helps educators, health providers and caregivers teach mindfulness skills to children and youth in schools and other settings.

Our Vision

MKM’s vision is to improve the lives of all children in the community by giving them access to mindfulness skills which reduce stress and anxiety, develop attention and focus, promote emotional regulation and impulse control, teach empathy and compassion, and create a sense of well-being.

MKM builds partnerships and programs to help strengthen the well-being of our community and its most vulnerable inhabitants:
